How long does the sensory dough last? 

It lasts for around 3-6 months, but often much longer, I have some customers that have had their dough over 10 months! It likes to be loved and played with regularly and stored in a cool dark place, in its air tight container that it comes in.

Where is my order?

We like to give you the freshest dough possible, therefore, we make your dough to order every week. We close orders on Sunday night, make the dough Monday and pack your lovely orders on Tuesday, meaning orders are often shipped on Wednesday. Therefore, we always recommend a 7-10 day dispatch estimate. However, if you need your order quickly, please do drop up an email or message on social media and we will do everything we can to help!

What is your sensory dough made from?

Our sensory dough is home made in our Dough Room at our family home in Yorkshire. It contains Wheat Flour, Table Salt, Cream of Tartar, Glycerine, Olive Oil, Water, Food Colouring and Essential Oils. We cannot guarantee that there are not any traces of nuts or other allergens in our products. Our sensory dough does not contain any artificial preservatives, therefore, this does mean the dough can go off if it is not stored correctly.

How should I store the sensory dough?

Our sensory dough should be stored in its air tight tin, with the lid on tightly. Our sensory dough does not contain any artificial preservatives, therefore, a cool dark place is recommended. To ensure the dough is at its freshest I recommend opening the dough within 2 months of purchase, this ensures you get the longest lifespan from your dough and it’s fresh and ready for playing with for those little hands. If you do want to be super organised and order in advance for a birthday, drop me a quick email and we can arrange a preorder and send it out closer to the birthday!

What age is the sensory dough recommended for?

Our sensory dough is designed to be used by children 3 years and over. Children must be supervised at all times during their play.

How do I care for my wooden accessories?

We have all been there. We have returned to a set of rolling pins to find dried sensory dough all over them, and it can be a real pain to get off! It is best to use warm water to remove the sensory dough. However, do not leave items to soak in water or put them in the dishwasher!

What is this white crust on my sensory dough?

If the sensory dough has been left out for long periods of time, a white crust will develop. It is nothing to worry about, it is just the salt in the sensory dough. A quick knead with cooking oil on your hands will bring it back to life!

When will I receive my order?

Our turnarounds are 2 weeks, our dough is handmade and made to order, to ensure it is at its freshest when you receive it. If you need something in a rush please let us know using the contact us form.

How are my items packaged?

We are passionate about reducing single use plastic, I know how frustrating it can be to try and provide eco friendly products for your children. Our products come in beautiful packaging that is either recyclable or reusable. If you would like to gift the items please let us know and we will use a recyclable postage bag to ensure the postage label is not visible on the outer packaging.
